Manly taking on Blacktown away at Glendenning Reserve, Jensen and Ekam choose to bat first.
After loosing a few early wickets, Ekam was able to stabilise the innings along with Blake and Alex who both contributed handy cameos in the middle. Ekam was playing nice, confident shots, running between wickets hard and controlling the innings. This led to a well-deserved 50. After that Ollie and Zac were able to do what they do best – taking on the bowlers, both making 30s with great strike rates and setting up a solid total to defend of 163.
After a decent first innings, the Blacktown openers were too good and ended up chasing the total in 22.1 overs with Ekam getting the one wicket.
A brutal day out for the Manly side at Blacktown, learning a tough lesson which we can learn from.
