Manly bowled first and got off to a strong start, with the opening bowlers keeping tight lines and immediately putting Hornsby under pressure. The disciplined bowling attack was backed up throughout the innings, as wickets fell at regular intervals.
Oliver Smith led the way with an impressive spell of 2/9 off 6 overs, while Hamish Pike (2/21), Huw Hayden (2/12), and Charlie Corcoran (2/15) all contributed key breakthroughs. Jensen also chipped in with a crucial wicket, finishing with 1/14. The collective effort saw Hornsby bowled out for 97 in 35.1 overs.
In reply, Manly’s innings was anchored by Cruz Cruickshank, who played a mature and composed knock of 46 off 91 deliveries, showing great patience and leadership. Support came from Blake Cotte (14), and the finishing touches were provided by Oliver Smith (6*) and Charlie Corcoran (4*), who guided Manly home to a well-deserved victory.
