U15/1 – Round 5 v Camden

9 November 2025

It was a bright and blustery morning at Raby Sports Complex as Manly took the field full of energy, eager to continue their strong run of form. Camden won the toss and elected to bat, determined to post a competitive total. Shawonpo Biswas anchored their innings with a patient 68 off 103 balls, showing excellent control and rotating the strike smartly. He received solid support from Owen Sweeney (35) and Flynn Salter (28), the pair helping Camden push toward a challenging score. Manly’s bowlers never let the momentum swing too far. Ollie Pavely (3/42) led with pace and intent, while Jacob Watts (2/25) delivered a tidy middle-overs spell that kept the run rate in check. Nate Cole (2/23) broke a dangerous partnership in his very first over, while Max Barnett (1/31), Raff McFadden, Ben Peak and Stuart Turner all bowled with patience and discipline to maintain pressure. The fielders backed them up brilliantly, taking three catches and executing a key run out. Camden finished 9/211 from 50 overs — a competitive total but one that felt chaseable on a good wicket.

Chasing 212 Manly’s openers, Archie Wragge and Nate Cole, began steadily building a fluent 83-run opening stand. Archie’s timing of the ball and hard running between the wickets got him to 44 before being dismissed LBW. Beau Moran joined Nate at the crease and immediately looked at ease, rotating the strike and punishing loose deliveries. Nate, combined control with aggression, timing the ball beautifully and finishing on 98. Beau finished with 55 and together they guided Manly home to a 9wicket win. It was a complete team performance, disciplined with the ball, sharp in the field, and composed with the bat. Every player contributed, whether through building pressure, taking smart catches or forming strong batting partnerships. Standout performers included Nate, Archie, Beau, Ollie and Jacob, who each played a pivotal role in the result.
